I conduct clinical\nresearch, and my research interests include hepatocellular carcinoma, liver\ncirrhosis, viral hepatitis, gastrointestinal endoscopy, and gastrointestinal\nbleeding. I am also a gastroenterologist practising at the Lagos University\nTeaching Hospital (LUTH), Lagos, Nigeria where I provide specialist outpatient,\nemergency and in-patient care to patients with gastrointestinal (GI) and liver\ndiseases such as chronic viral hepatitis, liver fibrosis, liver cirrhosis,\nliver cancer, peptic ulcers and GI bleeding. I am proficient in specialty-based\ninvestigations that evaluate the presence of GI and liver disease such as liver\nbiopsy, liver aspiration, transient elastography, and GI endoscopy. I am a\nmember of the Lagos State Viral Hepatitis Control Technical Working Group,\nwhose aim is to eliminate viral hepatitis in Lagos state.
