Personal Statement

I am a distinguished nurse specialist with the interest in Maternal and child health nursing, Community midwifery, gynaecological conditions, nursing education and nursing Informatics. My outstanding contributions to nursing have been recognized nationally and globally. In 2015, I was inducted into postgraduate fellows of west African College of Nursing in Ghana. I was also inducted into sigma Theta Tau International, Alpha Beta Gamma Chapter in Nigeria in 2018. I am the lead for NIHR Global Surgery Health Research Nigeria chapter (Nursing Collaboration. A member of Global Health Research Unit of the Education unit (Birmingham). I am the pioneer of postgraduate coordinator of the department and also a board member of School of Postgraduate studies, University of Lagos (2024/2025), session. Currently, my research focus includes: nursing care and patient satisfaction, health innovation and technology adoption, women’s health, particularly antenatal care education, nursing education and contribution to reduction of maternal and child mortality rate through my notable publications.
