Personal Statement
I have effectively served Physiotherapy profession and humanity in various capacities at both national and international levels. I have published well over 120 scientific articles in high impact journals that have contributed to human wellbeing and physiotherapy clinical practice globally. With well over 32 years as academic in the university, I have successfully supervised to completion 12 PhD theses, over 45 MSc dissertations and over 200 undergraduate research projects.
I was a Visiting Scholar, Department of Physiotherapy, Bayero University, Kano, in addition to being an external assessor for professorial cadre appointments in Nigeria universities, Physiotherapy Promotion Exercise in several hospitals in Nigeria and external examiner for both undergraduate and postgraduate professional examinations in most of the Physiotherapy training Universities in Nigeria.
I have also served as chairman and member of several academic and professional accreditation panels for National Accreditation Board, Republic of Ghana, National Universities Commission (NUC) and Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board (MRTB) to several universities, teaching hospitals and federal medical centers in Nigeria and Republic of Ghana.
