 Personal Statement

I am a senior lecturer in Orthopaedic and trauma surgery and had been involved in various researches that cut across basic, clinical and non-clinical aspects of orthopaedics. My researches focuses on studies that can help improve clinical outcomes, and also, improves the practice of orthopaedics.  I have been involved in translational researches, which has made me to collaborate with many other researchers in various fields like Radiology, Anatomy, Public Health etc. Collaborations with these scholars have produced research outputs that can be applied in Orthopaedics. One of the outputs is the discovery of an equation that can help predict femoral head size before surgery. The finding from that research is quite important in middle and low income countries, where it is very necessary to know the accurate size of the femoral head that would be replaced before surgery. As an academician and a clinician, I understand the values of researches and I am more willing to collaborate with more researchers across the world. Research is the key to unlocking discoveries. My ultimate goal is to make clinical outcomes, better and improve orthopaedic practices through researches.
