With effect from July 1, 1980, however, the certificate obtained on successful completion of the course of studies in Physiotherapy was upgraded to a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc Physiotherapy). The duration of studies for the BSc Physiotherapy programme was four years.

The BSc curriculum was upgraded to a 5-year programme in 2000 leading to the award of Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B. Physiotherapy). Beginning from the 2024/2025 academic session, the programme has been upgraded to a 6-year programme leading to the award of Doctor of Physiotherapy degree (DPT).
